Stock and Yard Controller

In support of our continued growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a Stock and Yard Controller to join our team at Newbridge, reporting directly to the Internal Sales Manager.

Specifically, some responsibilities of a Stock and Yard Controller include:

• Be aware of the BSW quality standards and to assist in the enforcement.Monitor any non-conforming stock and agree with site management/supervisor method and timescale for rectification
• Monitor aged stock levels and agree with site management/supervisor method and timescale for rectification. Ensure there are minimal stocks at calendar year end.
• To ensure any products outside the BSW quality standard are isolated on the sawn system to prevent despatch to a customer.
• Assist with stock rotation.
• Monitor sawn timber yard for any issues that need correcting.
• When required assist with the building of loads for despatch, ensuring all material is ready to load. (absence and holiday cover only)
•  Liase with customers to arrange and record delivery times and any special requirements they may have. (absence and holiday cover only)

About you:

Already experienced within a manufacturing or production environment would be advantageous, but not essential, as training will be given. We’re seeking attentive and organised individual who is focused and understands the value of the importance of accuracy. In addition, you’ll have:

• Ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
• High attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Good communication skills, electronic, written and verbal.
• Excellent computer skills across all Microsoft products.
